Bay County to host Veterans Day Parade Nov. 11
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners, in partnership with the Bay County Veterans Council, will host Bay County’s annual Veterans Day Parade beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Panama City.
The parade will follow its traditional route, beginning at Frankford Avenue and 12th Street in St. Andrews and traveling east along 11th Street to the Bay County Government Center, located at 840 W. 11th St.
Following the parade, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at the main entrance of the Bay County Government Center. The ceremony will feature performances by the Mosley High School Band and Neysa Wilkins, along with participation from Naval Support Activity-Panama City and Tyndall Air Force Base.
“Veterans Day is an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have served our nation,” said Commission Chairman Clair Pease. “We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our veterans and their families, and these events are a meaningful way to honor their service.”
